A retelling of the traditional tale about England's patron saint, St. George. It is a tale of adventure and danger. A knight fights a dragon and defeats it only after three days of fierce battle.

The way that the story has been retold is significantly different from the versions of this tale told in Orthodox countries where St. George is a very important figure. I would not recommend this particular book about St. George to those Christians who are looking to introduce the life of the saint to their children.

However, the books reads as an impressive myth and the illustrations are excellent. I would get this book even just for its illustrations. If you think of it as an ancient adventure story, this book is well made.
