A charming Polish fairytale, with kings, princes, evil queens, giant robbers, witches, magical birds, and beloved simple grandmothers. Retold in a simple way, enjoyable to read for all ages. You can read this book to a 5 year old who will be captivated by the adventure. A child with the reading level of a 9 year old could read the book on their own, and yet it can be enjoyed by children and adults of all ages.

It is a gentle story, with some killing and poisoning, but in no way gruesome or violent in a frightening way. A charming fantastical adventure with an array of awful and lovely characters to entertain its readers.
