This beautifully illustrated story book tells the story of a young boy who spends Christmas with his (recently widowed) grandfather. The story is placed in Prague, the capital of Czechia. Reading the book we learn a lot about the Christmas traditions of the Czech people. A theme in the book is also the kindness shared by Tom and his grandfather.

A sweet and loving book without being overly-sentimental.
